I'm an Associate Professor of Economics in the Manuel H. Johnson Center for Political Economy at Troy University, AL. I was previously Assistant Professor of Economics in the School of Business at the College of Charleston, SC. I graduated with a PhD in Economics from Suffolk University, Boston in May 2012.
My current research is focused on the economics of charity, voluntary civil society and the underlying institutional settings that support beneficence in society. My earlier research focused on questions related to monetary theory, financial history, private enterprise in money production and financial services as well as the economics of caste.
